Aubrey Lonsberry Braddock is a graduate from the Class of 2005. She was a strong 3-sport athlete in soccer, basketball, and track & field. She was the leading scorer on our soccer team over a 3 year playing career and recorded 27 career goals. That was our school record at that time and is currently 2nd all-time in school history. She also set school records for most goals in one season with 17, most goals in one game with 3, most points in one season with 39, and most career points with 61. All of these records are currently still 2nd all-time in school history. These accolades led her to a spot on the LCAA soccer All-Star team and to the exceptional senior soccer game in 2004. On the basketball court, she worked very hard to become one of the best point guards in the county, and culminated her career with a trip to the Exceptional senior basketball game in 2005. As a multi-talented athlete, this inductee was a leading member who competed in multiple events on our track & field team that won the division title in 2001 and Section V titles in 2001 and 2002. To this day, she is still 4th all-time in school history in the pentathlon and 5th all-time in the pole vault. She was also named an LCAA all-star in the pentathlon in 2004. Throughout all sports, Aubrey was known and remembered for having an extremely strong work ethic, an outstanding attitude, and being a role model. After high school, she went on to participate on the women’s rugby club team for 4 years at SUNY Brockport. While there, she was the team captain for 2 years, was named an all-star for 3 years, and helped lead the team to the state and regional championship in 2007. In 2011, she entered the US Army where once again she has been highly successful. She earned the title of Fort Gordon Noncommissioned Officer of the Year in 2015 and then went on to became a drill sergeant and master fitness trainer. For 11 consecutive years, including 2022, she has received a badge for physical fitness excellence. Her hard work and additional training led her to the rank of 1st Lieutenant with the Army's 82nd Airborne. In 2021, she was deployed to Afghanistan as a Fire Support Officer in support of Operation Allies Refuge. Her other awards include the Army Commendation Medal with two oak leaf clusters, the Army Achievement Medal with ten oak leaf clusters, and the Drill Sergeant Identification badge.
