We would like to congratulate our Varsity Cheerleading Squad for taking third place overall at the Eye of the Tiger competition with a score of 52.95 and no deductions! They also received the Most Spirited Award! Thank you, Avoca CSD, for hosting this annual competition!
Congratulations to our Athletes of the Week, Payton Bownds & Ethan Provino! “Payton is a large contributor to the Varsity Basketball team’s success. Among other achievements, he recently scored 15 points and had 8 rebounds to lead us in a win vs. Perry and scored 7 points and had 9 rebounds vs Arkport-Canaseraga,” said Coach Stout. “Ethan is a dual athlete this winter doing both Varsity Basketball and Indoor Track. He has been doing exceptionally well in Track and he is such a pleasure to have on the team. He is always positive, hardworking and an incredible addition to the team,” said Mrs. James.
Our Annual Spelling Bee competition will take place in the MMCSD Auditorium on Thursday, January 19th. Family and friends are welcome to attend! Please come early to sign in at the Visitor Entrance. The start time, listed by grade level, is as follows: 7th and 8th Grade (Junior High) – 12:35 pm / 6th Grade - 8:50 am / 5th Grade - 9:20 am / 4th Grade – 10:20 am / 3rd Grade – 10:50 am / 2nd Grade – 9:50 am / 1st Grade – 1:40 pm. One junior high and one sixth grade champion will compete in the Regional Spelling Bee! Best of luck to our students as they prepare!

Congratulations to our Athlete of the Week, Morgan Luick! “Morgan led the Girls JV team to a 2-0 start. She scored 15 points in our home opener and 8 points against a strong Canisteo-Greenwood team. Morgan is a tough competitor who works hard in practice every day. She is a second-year captain and she is a leader on the court as well as in the classroom. Morgan is easy to coach and I am grateful to be a part of her journey!” said Coach Clark.

Our Girls Varsity Basketball Team will play at 5:30pm vs. Keshequa at 5:30pm and Hall of Fame ceremony will follow at approximately 6:45pm. Our Boys Varsity Basketball Team will play at 7:30pm vs. Keshequa following the ceremony.
