Mount Morris Elementary was excited to welcome back the Merry-Go-Round Youth Theatre for the second time this school year! The Merry-Go-Round Youth Theatre is the largest touring, curriculum-based theatre in Upstate New York. Actors led individual classroom discussions about the “Aesop’s Fables on Stage,” where second graders learned about acting in Ancient Greece and Aesop’s two kinds of storytelling, fables and parables. After the classroom discussions, the students watched a 45-minute play where the actors performed what was just discussed.
