In support of our academic partner, Syracuse University, our Student Council President, Joelle Provino, and High School Principal, Mr. Hamilton, issued a joint proclamation earlier this week declaring today "Orange Day". Our students are able to take up to four different Syracuse University classes while still in High School and we want to show our support for SU as they face Baylor today in the NCAA Tournament.


We have so much to be proud of here at Mount Morris Central School! There have been many exciting academic and athletic accomplishments happening, culminating in one incredible weekend! This weekend, Mount Morris CSD teams/individuals have earned their place in the following:
*LCAA Exceptional Senior Game will be taking place on Friday, March 22nd at Letchworth Central School and five Mount Morris CSD students were selected to play: Dylan Cicero, Justin Martin, Kirstin Rivera, Steven Soto, and Collin Young. The Girls Team will play at 6:00 pm followed by the Boys Team.
*Odyssey of the Mind Championship is taking place on Saturday, March 23rd at the University of Binghamton. Luis Ortiz-Cruz, Emmie Clester, Anna Johnson, Chloe Mike, Adam Johnson, Ellie Lonsberry, and Tyler Guzzardi will be performing their long-term problem at 12:48 pm.
*Spelling Bee Championship is taking place at the Batavia High School on Saturday, March 23rd at 10 am sharp! Holly Lin & Emily Mike will be working towards the opportunity to travel to the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington D.C.!
*Rochester Ronald McDonald All-Star Game is taking place on Saturday, March 23rd at the Rush-Henrietta High School at 3:00 PM. Cameron Regal is the first Mount Morris CSD student to be selected to play in this prestigious tournament since Patrick Richardson in 1990.

Congratulations to Alyssa Cornelius, currently enrolled in the Criminal Justice I Program, on being inducted into the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS)! Students inducted into NTHS are recognized for their outstanding achievement in career and technical education and must attain a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Congratulations Alyssa!


Dr. Mike Molisani DDS from the Geneseo Orthodontics & Pediatric Dentistry visited Mount Morris CSD today to teach PreK-12 students about the importance of regular dental checkups and having healthy dental hygiene habits.
