Each month, MMCSD seniors take time to meet with their underclassmen. By taking on this leadership role, our seniors are able to support, answer questions and help guide younger students. Here are some pictures of our seniors and seventh graders at the first Mentor Meeting of the year! We would like to thank our students for a very successful 1st meeting!

Congratulations to our Athletes of the Week, Chase Young and Jack Morris! “Chase has been incredible on defense, helped secure two shutouts just this week and extended the teams record to 6-2. He also scored a goal and recorded two assists as a central defender,” said Coach Connolly. “Jack is a first-time goalie on the Modified Boys Soccer team and he has been going above and beyond. He is a great teammate, he always gives his best effort and is never afraid out there on the field!” said Coach Kobel.

Over the weekend, our Drama Club students had the opportunity to go see the hit Broadway musical, “Tootsie”! The Rochester Broadway Theatre League (RBTL) has developed several nationally recognized and award-winning arts education programs for students in the Greater Rochester area. Through one of these programs, our students have been given the opportunity to recruit patrons to support the educational programs at the RBTL, and in return, receive the chance to see hit Broadway musicals throughout the 2022-2023 season. “This is an amazing program for our students to take advantage of!” said Mrs. Coniglio, Drama Club Advisor.

Thank you, Mrs. Hubbard, for always making Music Therapy fun! Music Therapy is utilized in school systems across the country to help students meet physical, emotional, social, cognitive and academic goals. In music therapy, each individual is provided support and encouragement in the acquisition of new skills and abilities. Because music touches each person in so many different ways, participation in music therapy offers opportunities for learning, creativity and expression!
