We're excited to announce that we are now accepting non-perishable food donations for our annual Thanksgiving Dinner Program, running through Thursday, November 7th. This program helps provide eligible families in the Mount Morris Central School District with groceries for their Thanksgiving dinner.
There are donation boxes set up around the school for students and staff, and community members can drop off their donations at our Visitor Entrance. The items most needed include: gravy packets, instant mashed potatoes, stuffing, canned vegetables, cranberry sauce, and instant pudding.
If you have any questions about the program, please feel free to reach out to your child’s teacher. Thank you so much for your support!

Congratulations to both our girls' and boys' modified soccer teams on their victories yesterday! “The modified girls' soccer team won against Letchworth, 3 to 1. It was a great effort by the whole team, with one goal scored by Alivia Piriano and two by Natalie Stanley. Strong offensive plays came from Maddie Lewis, Alexis Straub, Allie LaGeorge, and Maddie O'Dell. Our powerhouse defenders Addy Coniglio, Addison Pagano, Paula Garcia, Avery Privitera, Shayla White, Alexis Greet, and Trinity Tidd shut down the Letchworth offense. Both Morgan Yencer and Gianna LaPiana were unstoppable in goal. Well done, girls!” said Coach Proud. “The modified boys' soccer team went to Dansville and won 3-2. Donovan Zuhlke scored 2 goals, and Donny Hustings scored 1. However, without goalie David Kelly stopping 2 penalty kicks, we would not have won,” said Coach Mann.

Congratulations to our September Elementary School PRIDE Award winners! Our PRIDE word for October is Respectful.

Congratulations to our varsity girls' soccer team on their 4-1 victory over Hammondsport! “Shaniese Brown scored the first goal 17 minutes into the game. Seven minutes later, Shaniese created another opportunity and was fouled in the box, allowing Mann to score on the penalty kick. Shaniese scored her second goal with a full volley off a well-placed corner kick from Addyson Barnhardt, 11 minutes into the second half. Barnhardt added another goal two minutes later after receiving a through ball from Holly Lin. The team maintained strong possession throughout the game, while the defense, led by Gabrielle Pagano, Bella Oddo, and Maia Forbes, repeatedly won balls around midfield, creating numerous offensive opportunities. Goalkeeper Abby Provo made five impressive saves,” said Coach James.

Congratulations to our Athletes of the Week, Adam Torres and Tatyana Rodriguez! “This season in varsity cross country, Adam and Tatyana have been putting in massive amounts of hard work. They show up every day to practice and give their best and it is paying off. They have both reduced their time at every single meet so far this season and are becoming strong runners. I am very proud of both of them,” said Coach James.

Congratulations to our Varsity Cross Country Team! We are thrilled to announce that all four athletes set new season's bests during last night's meet! Adam Torres shaved an impressive 5 minutes off his best time. Tatyana Rodriguez and Robbie Lonsberry each dropped 3 minutes from their personal bests. Matt Bacon not only improved by 2 minutes but also placed 8th out of nearly 60 runners with a remarkable time of 18:12. Great job, team! Our next meet will be on Tuesday, 10/1, at Livonia.

MMCSD tenth-grade students had the opportunity to gain hands-on career experience at the 6th annual—and largest ever—GLOW with Your Hands event, which featured participation from 65 organizations! This hands-on career exploration event, designed for students from the GLOW (Genesee, Livingston, Orleans, and Wyoming) region, showcases high-growth and high-demand careers in agriculture, manufacturing, and skilled trades. Students participated in activities such as welding, bricklaying, electrical wiring, heavy equipment operation, mechatronics, and more! For more information about this exciting event, visit www.GLOWwithYourHands.com.

We would like to recognize Jaden Garcia and Robbie Lonsberry for having excellent sportsmanship! “Varsity boys soccer player, Jaden Garcia, exemplifies sportsmanship on and off the field and is a role model to our younger students. Jaden puts team before self, asking to have another athlete start over himself at the half of a game for the betterment of the team. Jaden has an outstanding commitment to the team and aides in our success because of it! Robbie Lonsberry currently has an injury and cannot participate in soccer games, but he is always at the games, cheering on his teammates and being positive at all times. Robbie is also great with the younger kids that are at our games, including my son, who "can't wait to kick the ball with Robbie" at the games. Robbie is incredible with the elementary students and a great role model”, said Coach Connolly.

Congratulations to our Varsity Boys Soccer Athletes of the Week, Cooper Davis and Matt Bacon! “Last week, Senior duo Cooper and Matt worked together for 5 goals. Cooper scored 3 including 2 penalty kicks, which Matt assisted on by getting dangerous in the box. Matt scored 2 goals with his explosive speed and getting to the endline all week, giving the Blue Devils many opportunities to score. Cooper and Matt have worked really well together this year and their Senior leadership has led them both to being named captains on the squad,” said Coach Connolly.

Our 3rd grade classes enjoyed the playground and beautiful weather last week!
